Better Buildings Progress Report Highlights
The 2019 Better Buildings Progress Report features the accomplishments from over 900 partners, allies, and organizations that work with the Better Buildings Initiative. These groups are working towards the following:
- Achieving impressive energy savings
- Investing in innovative projects
- Leveraging new energy-saving technologies
- Overcoming barriers.
In order to have a thriving economy, it is important to reduce waste in both plants and buildings. Throughout the last year, these groups have helped to expand the number of real-world solutions, energy and water saving solutions, and best practices. The money that is saved is able to be reinvested to help create new jobs, products, and services. This allows our economy to continue growing.
Better Buildings, Better Plants Challenge
On July 10th, Energy Secretary Rick Perry started off the Better Buildings, Better Plants Summit by recognizing partners and allies who achieved their energy, water, or financial goals for 2019. These partners are part of several organizations that work alongside the U.S. Department of Energy in the Better Buildings Initiative.
